Neighbor Gets Entitled Parents Towed After They Park In A Paid Spot

Parking can be a source of contention.

Many people compete for parking spaces. After all, if you’ve been waiting for a spot to open up so you can do some necessary grocery shopping and someone else just walks in and takes it away right in front of your eyes, it’s not surprising that you’d be annoyed. However, most parking-related stories are not so straightforward. In many cases, those hogging the parking space are entitled people who believe they can get away with it because no one ever told them no when they were growing up. I wish I was joking, but when I read stories like these, I am no longer surprised; I have simply come to expect the worst from humanity.

This particular experience is also not unique. A Reddit user lives in an apartment complex with reserved parking spaces. And, since these parking spaces are paid for, you’re not going to let anyone else use them, are you? That’s what OP noticed on his way to work when he spotted a couple and their children parking in his apartment building’s parking spot. He warned them to get moving or they would get into trouble. However, instead of apologising and moving on, they became irritated with him and insulted him. He tried his best to persuade them that their car could be towed, but they refused. So he resolved to put them in their proper place.

You can see how that went by scrolling down.

The long title explains it all.

However, we are here to get the juicy details and that is exactly what we are going to get.

But first, we need to understand the structure behind how parking works.

They have paid spots so they can usually find a space quite easily.

But that wasn’t going to happen today as OP was about to go to work.

OP tried to warn them but they weren’t listening.

He told them that they were going to get towed and they waved it away.

It wasn’t an empty threat either as he did make good on his promise.

That is when the family came back running.

That is when they threaten to call the cops.

OP isn’t fussed and so the cops are called.

This is where it gets even more interesting as they start lying through their teeth.

OP clears everything up and they are put in holding.

And that is how it all ended.

What did they anticipate happening? He did, after all, tell them he was going to have their car towed. It wasn’t like they hadn’t been warned. They could have been more foresighted and moved sooner. The best part is that they thought calling the cops would make them look better. I’d like to say that this story is made up and that no one is this stupid, but I’ve seen people like these in my life, and they are indeed this dumb. I am confident that when they tell others about this story, they will portray themselves as victims because that is how entitled people’s brains work.

I would have been quite glorious.

Probably a good idea.

Apparently, this kind of thing is quite common.

But it would have been quite funny.
