There are entitled people everywhere.
The majority of the entitled people in the stories we read about are parents. I’m unsure if the two entities are related, but it makes me sad. After all, it demonstrates that this is an endless cycle in which these parents shape their children to be exactly like themselves. This perpetuates the cycle of entitlement and has a negative impact on society in general. Now, not all entitled people are outwardly rude; it is common for them to be dismissive and believe they are above everything. They will break the law without hesitation, and they believe they can get away with it.
That is why society must address and challenge the entitlement cycle in order to foster a more equitable and respectful community. By holding entitled individuals accountable for their actions, we can help create a more harmonious and equitable society for all. However, holding someone responsible for their actions may require you to box their car so they are unable to leave your private driveway. At the very least, that is what the original poster (OP) of this story did.

It is a short and sweet title, but it tells us everything we need to know.
OP has her own house, and it is situated close to a school, which means there are a lot of parents milling about when school ends.
OP is sort of used to picking up the garbage in her driveway that the kids throw away.
There is clearly not enough parking space around the area, as it is a small cul-de-sac where the school is situated.
However, just because someone can’t find a parking space doesn’t mean they are allowed to park in someone’s private driveway.

OP was going about her business at home when she noticed an SUV parked in her driveway that didn’t belong to her husband or her roommate.
OP quickly called the police and took a picture of the licence plate for proof.
OP also drove her husband’s car to the back of the SUV so that it couldn’t get out.
The woman was apparently really dismissive when she came back and apologised hurriedly.
OP, however, was not letting it go and asked the woman why she thought it was okay to park in someone’s driveway.

The lady tried to get out of the driveway, but OP was still blocking her in, so there wasn’t a lot she could do.
OP also noticed the scuffed-up front bumper, and every time the lady tried backing up, OP would just honk her horn.
The lady clearly gave up at this point and looked visibly distressed from the ordeal.
That is when OP unblocked her drive so the lady could get out, thinking this was enough.
OP also called the school and told them the lady’s licence plate number, but she doesn’t think that anything will come out of it.

I’m not sure I agree with the assessment to which the lady is entitled. I mean, we all have some sense of entitlement in our personalities, but I don’t believe the lady was being rude. I won’t say what she did was acceptable, but OP could have simply warned her until she apologised. I’m not sure what her expression was when she apologised, but I believe the situation was taken too far.
Then again, maybe this happens frequently and the OP is simply tired of it. At the end of the day, it’s just my opinion, and the majority of the comments appear to support her approach, so who am I to disagree?
People in the comments would have clearly not been as nice as OP had been.
Some people even shared their own ideas on what the OP should do if this were to happen next time.
Using steel sip ties to attach things to someone’s car is definitely one way to stop people from parking in their driveway.
Okay, that would be really funny.
She might as well make some money off of it.
