Old Man Refuses To Believe That This Mother And Her Son Doesn’t Work In The Thrift Store

There’s a small shop near OP’s house called ‘Thrift Store For Jesus’ that she likes to visit. It’s close and cheap, and OP often goes there because my baby grows so fast. OP knows a few of the ladies who work there because OP brings her baby there a lot, and OP also knows where everything is in the store. One day, OP went to the store and said hi to Grandma-Lady, who works at the cash register. There weren’t many people in the store – just an old man and a middle-aged woman with her elderly mom. This is pretty normal for the store.

OP started looking at things to buy, and my baby pulled some shirts off the rack. OP put the shirts back and continued shopping. Then OP went to the toy section and saw the woman and her mom struggling to get a game from a high shelf, as OP is taller. But things got strange when the old man started talking to me. He was holding a blender thing and asked if the store checks if things work before selling them. OP told him she didn’t know, but there was a place to test things near the cash register.OP tried to leave, but he got mad and accused me of working there. OP told him she didn’t work there, but he didn’t believe her. A lady at the store, Grandma Lady, told the old man to leave if he didn’t stop being rude. The old man still insisted OP worked there. I told him again that I didn’t and pointed out my baby. She finished shopping, laughed about it with Grandma Lady, and paid for my things. Scroll down till the end.

Frequenting a nearby store a short distance from my home, OP has become familiar with the friendly staff and the store’s layout due to its convenience, affordability, and the rapid growth of my baby.

Skipping ahead to yesterday, OP visits the store, greets Grandma-Lady at the cash, and notices only a few other customers present.

As OP begins shopping, OP hangs clothes on the stroller, and OP’s baby pulls shirts from a rack, which OP neatly places back on hangers. OP heads to the toy section and helps a mother-daughter pair reach a board game from a high shelf since OP is taller.

In the housewares section, the Old Guy appears, holding a blender-like item, and questions if items are tested before sale; OP responds about testing near the cash and tries to leave with her stroller.

Seemingly ignoring the baby and stroller, he finally notices and grumbles in embarrassment before walking away while OP completes shopping, laughs with Grandma Lady, and pays for my items.

That’s something really sweet.

That would be the best manager to deal with the old man.

The doll is alive.

This was crazy enough to even think.

Grandma, as a cashier, seems so cool.
