Night shifts are boring.

At least that is what most people will tell you. Almost nothing happens and you are left to your own devices. And there is also the fact that there are always fewer people at night so you can’t socialize either. However, sometimes things can take a turn for the worst at night. As we all know even mundane things can be seen as terrifying at night.

I mean if the light goes out or even flickers in the day, then it is probably an electrical problem. However, if the same thing happens at night then there are poltergeists around. At least that is what many people seem to believe. And that is why when one Reddit user asked nighttime workers to share their stories, they were only too happy to do that.

From what I have seen nights make everything creepier. So any nighttime worker always has stories to tell. I remember having to stay at an almost empty hospital for the night and having to go out in the middle of the night for medicine. Let us just say that it was the most terrifying experience of my life and I don’t easily get scared either. And it was also raining and cold so you could see much either.

Well of course in the moment I didn’t think it was anything, might have just been another person. But after the second time when I got closer, I didn’t recognize any facial features or clothing, it was just a black figure and it wasn’t like the room was pitch black dark. –Kelstine
