Imagine working in a place where almost everyone quits – a whopping 92% turnover rate! Yes, you heard it right. Reddit user pumpkinbean16 worked tirelessly for ten months straight, taking just one day off, and that was only half a day. Why? Well, they had a nasty sunburn that turned into sun poisoning. When OP told their boss they needed to leave work for a doctor’s appointment, the boss just laughed it off. Sunburn didn’t seem like a valid excuse to them.
But here’s the twist: When the boss decided to take some time off, karma struck hard. Upon their return, they found that so many employees had quit that they couldn’t even fill the work schedule.

3. His boss is the exact opposite and puts a lot of pressure on his workers despite them already trying to give their best.
4. Not in 10 months did OP take a day off. However, one time while on a trip to the lake, he ended up getting a terrible sunburn and was in excruciating pain.
5. The guy still decided to show up the next morning but three hours into his shift, he knew he had to take the day off.
6. He talked to his boss about taking a half day as he wasn’t feeling well.
7. The boss started laughing in OP’s face saying getting a sunburn is not reason enough for him to go home.
8. The boss said if he could stay an extra three hours to complete the half day, he could surely spend the next six hours and complete the shift.
9. OP got really angry and left on the spot. He then went to the doctor and got the medication as well as a doctor’s note. The next day OP gave the note to his boss who refused to take it.
10. OP felt there was no reason for the boss to behave so rudely given he had never taken a day off before and had only requested to take half a day off now because he had no energy left within him to continue.
11. OP also shared the boss had been a terrible supervisor to everyone at the workplace in general.
12. Because of his dumbness, the existing team often gets overburdened. He suspends workers for fun.
13. He even taunts his employees after voluntarily giving them breaks saying he didn’t expect them to spend too much time off on their breaks.
I have a special kind of hatred for such bosses. I really wonder who puts them in such high positions because all they do is exploit the power and make like h*ll for everyone working for them. A boss should exhibit the characteristics he wants to see exhibited in his employees. What this boss is doing only makes me feel sad because he is wasting talent and the business will go down in no time.
OP should look for work elsewhere because he is being disrespected. My guy didn’t take a single day off in 10 months. That is saying something, not easy at all. The boss should’ve given him a big incentive to make sure he retains the best one. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

14. Recently, OP identified a loophole. The company was slightly understaffed and he knew he could capitalize on this.
15. OP had been applying and had secured himself a new job. At the same time, many others were also planning to leave.
16. With multiple employees about to leave at the same time because their boss was so terrible to them, OP knew the company was going to get screwed until the boss did new hiring within a week…not possible!
17. In an update OP shared the boss didn’t come in the day he had decided to give his resignation. So he resorted to emailing him the decision in order to have the decision timestamped.
18. The boss was left in a major shock.
19. He asked if there was anything he could do to retain OP but it was too late.
