Redditor Asks If They Are Wrong For Using A Bark Controller On Their Neighbors Loud Dog

Neighbors, whom OP calls Backyard, have a big, loud dog that barks endlessly. It used to go on for hours until KidMom, another neighbor with young kids, called the cops. Backyard thought OP did and cursed them out. OP didn’t, but they told them off about the barking. They improved, but recently it started again, though not as long. KidMom was about to call the cops again when OP intervened with a sonic bark controller. It annoys dogs without hurting them. Puppies, other neighbors, seemed to be trying the same trick.

After OP used it, Backyard messaged them, unaware it was OP, to stop. Is OP wrong for using it instead of letting KidMom call the cops? OP lives in a city with police violence, so they avoid involving them. Also, Puppies used a similar device, which was odd but unrelated.
