Dealing with teenagers is the hardest thing ever!
Teenagers are unexpected. They would not listen to you and would always think that they know better than you. It is such an age where parents are always telling them that they should focus on their studies and should not waste their time. A mother shared her story with Reddit community. Her son always forgets to do things. He is always busy playing video games that he forgets to do homework, eat and shower. OP kept reminding him to shower but he didn’t listen to her. He plays sports so he was stinking badly and it was his 4th or 5th day without a shower. One day, he came home very angry and immediately took shower. After that, he fumed that why no one told him that he was stinking. Scroll down to read why he said that.

OP’s son is not a toddler, he is 15 years old and he should be responsible now. One should know that they are stinking, it is not others’ duty to remind them to shower. It is such a basic thing. OP should stop telling him things and this is how he would learn what consequences mean.
