Tech Support Guy Resolved An Issue For Deaf Old Person Allowing Him To Finally Call His Wife After 3 Long Weeks

Deaf Person Video Call

Reddit user u/marinojesse works in a company that provides technical support on tech-based products. One time an elderly person walked in to get an issue resolved related to his tablet. There was an issue with his Skype that kept crashing. Because of this problem, he couldn’t call his wife who lived on a different continent for job purposes. The old guy and his wife were both deaf. When the old guy got sent to OP for the issue to be resolved, he used ASL to communicate with the guy and understood his problem.

It barely took OP 5 minutes to fix the issue and the old guy, who hadn’t talked to his wife in 3 weeks, couldn’t control his happiness. He video-called his wife there and then and she actually picked up…The wholesome conversation between the two created a really adorable and emotional moment all around.

This story has got me emotional beyond the point I thought I could get emotional. This is new territory. I am extremely happy that Pete and his wife finally got to communicate. It is already too tough staying away from your partner and then not being able to communicate with them at all just makes the matter so much worse and heartbreaking. The event made OP motivated to continue working as a technician and Pete an extremely happy guy.

Here’s what the internet had to say about this:
