If most things were unlimited, life would be much simpler. The positive ones, like our time on earth, ice cream, patience, and common sense, not the bad ones, like death, disease, and devastation.M ind you, the last two ought to be available in multiple infinities. Particularly when it comes to putting up with your partner’s jokes that he is pile-driving into the ground faster than heavy equipment.
This Redditor recently posted about the same problem she was having in the Am I The A-Hole? community: her boyfriend developed a habit of using the same one phrase as the punchline for almost everything he says, and he’s been doing it for more than three months.
1. OP and his boyfriend were on a holiday buying snacks

It was amusing to both the OP and her partner, so it naturally became a running joke. But she did not anticipate it to develop into a joke that has outlived its usefulness but has persisted. For OP, the initial days appeared to be fine. They kept saying it to one another, so it eventually became the accepted way to refer to Pringles. But even though the holiday was over, the repetition continued. The story continued after that, eventually reaching a point where the punchline would occasionally appear every minute. Sometimes the guy would begin a conversation and end it with a joke to “torment” the OP.
6. Turns out, the Pwingys joke has been driven so far into the ground over last the 3 months that it should have melted in the Earth’s core… but it hasn’t

The prank has been going on for more than three months as of the time of the Reddit post. Despite her asking with him to stop, it has started to physically drive OP crazy. But to him, it appeared as though she was going along with it, which only served to perpetuate the vicious cycle. She seemed to give up all chance of ever having a genuine talk at this point. Even worse, they had been in this relationship for five years. At this point, she thought he was “the one,” someone with whom she would want to spend the rest of her days, but after suplexing the joke harder than Brock Lesnar suplexes his opponents, she is no longer so sure.
Since talking to him is obviously ineffective, OP’s current course of action is to vehemently object. until, of course, he stops. But in light of everything, the kind people on r/AITA believed that thus far, this is a pretty acceptable response because they don’t believe she is the bad guy in this situation.
Redditors are of the opinion that OP is not the bad guy as the joke has run its course and should stop, and if it doesn’t, then the joker wins stupid prizes
9. This really was the most entertaining story
First off, inside gags and running jokes don’t function that way. Second, it makes sense that the boyfriend should quit because the joke is deader than the dabbing craze of 2016. If he doesn’t, the proper steps must be taken. It makes sense. Some people talked about the people they know that do it and how to stop them. Consider throwing a cup of cold water at them if talking doesn’t work. Or, my personal favorite, throw some wet spaghetti on them. That ought to solve the issue.
15. Pwingys family where are you?
Thoughts on this article? NTA or YTA? Clearly, the boyfriend needs to stop and save the relationship. Comment down your thoughts. Stay tuned for more.
