Redditor Builds 8ft Fence To Obstruct Karen Neighbor’s View After She Called HOA On Him

Karen calls HOA

Some neighbors are simply tattletales.

Tattling on neighbors and reporting violations to the homeowners association is a common practice in many communities. Some people take pride in keeping their community in order and ensuring that everyone follows the rules and regulations established by the HOA. However, this behavior can cause conflict and tension between neighbors. After all, we all know that not all homeowner associations are fair in terms of following their rules and regulations. And, while I’m not saying that every HOA is the same, most people aren’t fans of them.

That is why no one likes neighbors who tell tall tales and go straight to the HOA whenever they have the opportunity. I am not saying that one is not allowed to care about their neighborhood, but wouldn’t it be better to talk to your neighbor about the problem before spreading it to everyone else? It would result in fewer problems and less animosity from your neighbors. This may appear to be a simple solution, but many people simply get drunk on power and tell on their neighbors just because they enjoy having the upper hand over everyone else.

Why are people so obsessed with mowed lawns?

OP inherited a house, and the lawn required a bit of work due to his grandpa being sick.

OP is going through a hard time and thus doesn’t have free time to mow the lawn.

Soon enough, the neighbor came to complain about the state of the lawn.

Rather than ending it there, the neighbors called the bylaw, but they were thankfully understanding.

To ‘fix’ the situation, OP has put up a huge fence so that the neighbor can’t even see into their lawn anymore.

If she just kept quiet and went about her business, she wouldn’t be glaring at a fence. However, she really wanted a mowed lawn, so she now spends her days staring at a fence. At least her eyes will not be drawn to the horror of uncut grass.

I understand that some people are obsessed with ensuring that everyone in their area takes care of their lawn, but it can sometimes go too far, especially if the house owner is sick or does not have enough time to do so. The only thing she accomplished by calling the HOA was to ensure that the OP never listens to her again in the future.

I am sure she will complain any day now.

At least she won’t have to look at the unkept lawn.

Now, this is an interesting idea.

That would make everyone nauseous.

You will always find more evil.

Here we have even more evil.

I can just imagine her face.

OP should hire a graffiti artist.

Some people are way too entitled.

Well, she can’t do anything about it.

Her sour breath probably needs mint anyway.

It sounds like the perfect revenge to me.

Everyone should mind their own business.

Apparently, this is more common than I thought.
