Ever felt like you’re being taken advantage of? Meet Reddit user firetothetrees, a hardworking individual who knows the difference between favor and exploitation. In a world where entitlement reigns supreme, OP’s encounter with two demanding grandmothers will make you shake your head in disbelief. Imagine a family vacation of 18, two grandmothers dubbed “Karens,” and OP with a side hustle repairing hot tubs. When a property manager called for help with water transport, OP stepped up, expecting gratitude. But instead, he was met with demands to clear his entire schedule for the following week! Talk about entitled.
Despite the pressure, he stood his ground, refusing to bow to their unreasonable demands. You won’t believe how it unfolds! Scroll down below to enjoy!

1. If you aren’t her husband or a blood relative, then this is messed up.
2. OP owns a hot tub repair company that also offers hot tub water refill services.
3. One of the houses that OP provides service to had a big 500-gallon tank that the property manager requested him to fill up as the wells in that home had gone dry.
4. Although the task at hand required double effort but OP agreed because the property manager was desperate, and perhaps a nice guy too.
5. Just a day and a half later after Karen arrived at the house, the house ran out of water. The property manager panicked and called OP to ask if he could help.
6. OP chose to help the manager out once again and shifted 275 gallons of water to the property.
7. The entitled grandmothers, or should I say Karens, complained OP brought less water as everyone had to shower. They demanded he go back and forth to bring at least 500 gallons.
8. OP shared that such a task becomes a house hassle when he can’t use his full-sized trailer. The demands Karens made would have been a complete pain in the butt to fulfill.
9. All of this could have been avoided had the women agreed to just pick another house, a house that the property manager had already offered.
I think the Karens totally missed out on the fact that OP owns a water tank company and is a service provider. In no way is a slave to those women. OP should just say no and continue on with life. It is not worth going through all that hassle to provide water to those who are going to waste so much of it anyway.
The entitlement of these Karens needs to be put into place. Let’s see how things move forward. Scroll down below to continue reading!

10. One of the Karens decided to let her entitlement slide out a bit more than required and OP didn’t like that.
11. OP’s professionalism and friendliness made the Karens assume he was their slave. Nope.
12. OP made it clear that he wouldn’t follow their orders because he doesn’t work for the property management company. Till that point, he was only being courteous.
13. The Karens didn’t really want to believe OP didn’t work for the property management company. The cloud of entitlement was really too big.
14. OP told them if they wanted to enjoy the remainder of their vacation, they should switch houses.
15. OP went home and the next morning, the visiting family moved to another house. The management company also gave them a refund so it played out great for the Karens at the end.

Here’s what the internet had to say about this:
16. I don’t think they said anything. Karens are well known for assuming stuff up. They probably assumed OP worked for them.
17. Perhaps the property manager was evil in this story.
18. No need to be professional with choosing beggars.
