Boss Didn’t Let Employee Take A Short Break, Ends Up Regretting It

give-me-my-break-

When a boss insists on rigidly controlling their employees’ schedules, it’s only natural that the team will continue to follow the set routine, even when mistakes occur in planning. The relentless micromanagement means the boss must be ready to provide tasks for productivity constantly. Unfortunately, working under such conditions breeds a sense of misery and demotivation among the team, fostering a deep desire to escape the oppressive atmosphere.

Consider a scenario where a remote worker, bound by a strict schedule, finds themselves assigned a training session they’ve already completed. Seizing the opportunity for a much-needed mental break, the worker takes that hour to preserve their well-being. Breaks become a luxury, sacrificed due to the boss’s refusal to incorporate them into the meticulously managed agenda. The result is a team yearning for freedom and counting down the minutes until they can break free from the oppressive environment, daydreaming of a workplace that values their mental health and autonomy.

So what are you waiting for ladies and gentlemen? Keep on scrolling down below and make sure to read it till the end otherwise, you won’t be able to connect to the story.

1. OP works a fully remote-from-home job and he’s working as a call center agent the time is flexible and OP can attend to his other needs in the meantime, and the good part is the commute is only getting out of bed. So the company uses an online scheduler which they have to adhere to and it also keeps up the score. And when the score is high employees are more likely to get bonuses etc.

2. Last week OP had an issue with his schedule where the company had randomly changed his lunch time leaving him out of adherence, OP reached out to her manager and told her it wasn’t right but she told OP that he had to be out of adherence. So the OP checked it before he went on breaks or lunch.

3. Recently, OP logged in and saw that he didn’t have his second break and it was 15-minute breaks that are actually paid, when OP messaged her manager and asked why it wasn’t there she said if your break isn’t there you don’t get one. Although it was in the company’s policy that every employee should be assigned these breaks and if any problem happens it should be fixed ASAP.

4. They had a training slotter for an afternoon that was an hour long and OP had already completed the training during a slow hour but OP thought if he had to adhere to the schedule then he should so he set his status to training and ate lunch and played with his kitties but when he got back, she knew OP had been gone.
