Twitter user @seokjeanist was in awe when they found out about this long friendship between a scuba diver and a fish. One time while the scuba diver was underwater exploring the sealife, he found this wish injured and went to help her. The rest is history.

From 39 to 79, time flew by in seconds as this relationship got stronger.

The Japanese scuba diver met the fish when he was 49 years old. You guessed it, he is 79 now and still goes to see his best buddy every day.

Scuba diver Hiroyuki Arakawa and Yoriko are the unlikeliest of friends. While they both share a love for the sea, Yoriko’s gills and tail make her a little more aquatically inclined. Nearly every day for the past 30 years, Arakawa has been diving into the waters of Hasama Underwater Park in Tateyama, Japan, to visit Yoriko—an Asian sheepshead wrasse.
