Not many can say they have breathed life into the character of Superman.
Believe it or not, Superman has impacted every kid’s life. Superman is the first fictional character I ever got to know and I saw him for the first time in the animated series launched in the 2000s. I instantly fell in love with him, He could fly, I mean that enough. And those laser eyes, the cold breath, the muscular strength, everything was just so perfect about him. And then my father showed me his old movies as I grew up. I saw the one in which Christopher Reeve was Superman and that made me fall in love with the character even more. I think that is to date one of the best performances I have ever seen and I am sure you guys believe that too. That Superman movie introduced a lot of people to Superman and brought him a huge audience. The next Superman I ever saw after the animated series that ended in 2010, was the reprisal of the character by Henry Cavil in the movie Man of Steel. No matter who says what, he is my favorite Superman.
But that’s just 3 Supermans I have talked about so far. The three I know. Throughout history, there have been many different Supermans in our universe, God knows how many other Kryptonian Gods are there in the other universes. But in our universe, we have so far seen a total of 14 different Supermans. History really has blessed us.
Today we will be taking a look at those different Supermans who have graced the face of theatre throughout history and have done an amazing job at it.

4. Danny Dark was the voice actor for Superman in the show Super Friends in the 70s.
5. Baby Boomers’ favorite Superman. Christopher Reeve swept the world with his amazing acting in the Superman trilogy starting from 1978 to 1983.
6. John Haymes Newton took on the role of Clark Kent in the show Superboy, which launched in 1988 and went off the air in 1992.
7. Gerard Christopher replaced John Haymes Newton as Superman in the series Superboy, in the later half of the show.
I love how such great actors carried the legacy of Superman forwards and each hand was a safe one. Imagine the thought that must’ve gone into the process of selecting the next actor to take on the role of Superman. Especially after the character got super popular. It shouldn’t go without saying that they struck a home run with Christopher Reeve’s Superman. Safe to say,, so far the mantle has been passed on with care and to the right actors.
