Managers don’t always know what they are doing.
You’d think a manager is someone who has done a specific type of job before and thus understands how to manage and supervise people who will be doing that exact thing from now on. Surprisingly, this is not the case the majority of the time. And you will see these people being inept and causing havoc. Not only that, but they enjoy delegating all of their responsibilities to their subordinates and then taking credit for all of the accomplishments that an employee brings.
As a result, the manager is promoted to higher and higher positions, while the employees who do all the hard work receive nothing. I know this sounds depressing, but it is true for the majority of jobs out there. And it’s precisely because of this that it’s so satisfying to see these people get their comeuppance. Revenge isn’t always a good thing, but it can be delicious at times. So, if you’re having a bad day at work, this story might lift your spirits.

The title explains the story pretty well.
However, we are all here for the details.
And OP has not skimmed on the background information at all.
His job seemed to be going well until a new manager came in.

All of the manager’s responsibilities were delegated to him.
This would have been fine if he was getting paid a manager’s salary.
So he finally had enough and decided to leave.
As you can probably guess, everything was chaotic after he left.

The manager didn’t know anything and was losing business.
And so he was quickly ‘fired’.
I’m always surprised to see higher-ups be so inept. After all, how did he get hired in the first place? Was he dishonest on his resume? I would have assumed he would know how to do the job for which he was hired, but this was not the case. And I wouldn’t call this petty at all. I would have quit if I had worked for someone like him. I’m not surprised he ‘quit’ so quickly either. I’m actually more surprised that he lasted a month at all. At the very least, OP is doing well in his life right now, and that’s all that matters.
Apparently, this kind of thing is pretty common as well.

This is called greed.
I am also glad that he is doing better.
I would love a similar picture of my previous boss.
I am glad that the kid is great as well.
Management is filled with horrible people.
We also get a bit more information on what was happening behind the scenes.

It is rare but it happens.
I will drink to that!
