2. OP’s high school friend was in her town for a concert and asked if she could stay at her place.
3. OP hadn’t been in touch with this friend for a very long time but still said yes.
4. There was no mention of the friend bringing her dog along but when she arrived, voila, she had a dog with her.
5. OP is not fond of dogs and told her friend she can’t stay at the house because of that reason.
6. She said it was her service dog but OP remained firm on her decision that was already made.
7. OP told her he couldn’t deal with all the mess that came along with the dog so she would have to leave.
8. She kept giving arguments but OP decided enough was enough and shut the door on her friend’s face.
9. She called OP an AH and even put up an online post about the whole scenario, trying her best to make OP look bad.
10. OP considered the act extremely rude and thought she didn’t do anything wrong.
NTA. The friend just wasted her time here, to be honest. Had she told OP right in the beginning that she was going to bring her dog with her, OP would’ve said no there and then. The friend could’ve arranged accommodation somewhere else. It was always going to be a No because OP made it very clear in the story that she did not like dogs. So, OP did nothing wrong here.
