This Person Lets Their Dog Walk On Neighbors’ Grassy Yards And It Often Pees And Poops On It

When you take your dog outside your house for a walk, you are taking it in a community where other people also live. You, as the dog’s owner, have to make sure that your dog doesn’t do something that upsets are neighbors or nothing happens that breaks the law or is outside the ethical prism that results in the owner getting stuck in a terrible situation.

In today’s story, Reddit user u/Sammylovesfood shared she lives in a neighborhood that has houses with big and grassy front yards. Whenever she would take her dog out for a walk, she would allow it to walk on the grassy yards. The dog would often pee or poop on those lawns as well but she shares she would always clean it up.

One time when a neighbor saw the dog walking on his lawn, he shouted at OP and told her this was very wrong of her. He believed the dog could’ve potentially ruined his lawn and held OP accountable.

There are two situations here. If OP’s dog poops on the neighbor’s yards and she always cleans the dirty work of her dog up before moving ahead, no one should have any problem with it. And if she doesn’t clean it up, then OP is a massive AH here.

However, the dog shouldn’t have been allowed to walk on random people’s front yards in the first place. This is something that OP should look into. Walking her dog on the neighbors’ grass makes her an AH anyway because it is private property.

Here’s what the internet had to say about this:

11. A dog owner said peeing on lawns makes them worse. If a dog owner is saying this, then the decision definitely has a lot of weight to it.
