Why is everyone trying to BUY love these days?
Maybe this is what they meant when they said ‘money can’t buy happiness.’ Finding true love is happiness and money can’t buy that. It’s almost as if this has become a trend to make grand romantic gestures by buying expensive gifts and going out on fancy dates. I mean, if someone can afford this without having to think about it for the rest of their life then it’s fine, otherwise no.
Besides, first-dates aren’t supposed to be about making impressions. They are more about getting to know the person you’re going out with. So, if you think you can win someone over you’re meeting for the first time by showing off wealth then you’re sadly mistaken. The guy in the following screenshots did exactly that and was not quite happy with the results.
This is part of their conversation.
Here’s his side of the story:
Funnily enough, the girl he went out with saw this post and replied with some cold hard facts.
The funniest and probably the shittiest part is that not only was the guy using the wrong approach, he also felt entitled to special treatment. He felt like the girl owed him a proper a relationship or something because he spent $250 on her (that she never asked for). People need to understand that not everyone is a nice guy or a gold-digger.
Here’s what others had to say:
He just wants his money back.
It looks so bad.
