We, humans, drive upon our own instincts throughout our day. We observe others having their own ways of life and sometimes, we learn new things, we become more understanding trying to comprehend others point of view and often times we just learn to accept whatever people choose to do. But one thing that should be common within all these situations should be the concept of “Empathy”. We should always be considerate and never intend to say anything that may cause harm in any form. That is why it becomes very important to think before we speak.
This 29-year-old had to go through a similar scenario who’s a vegan and refused to eat her colleague’s birthday cake which she said is a vegan cake. Whatever dietary decisions one makes are completely up to them and how they want to live their life. Some may be vegan due to actual physiological reasons or maybe just out of choice.

This comes off to show how invalidating some comments can be to someone where the other does not even realize it. Bea might or might not have the intention to annoy the other person per se, but she can definitely tone down her jokes so that other people do not get offended by whatever choice they make as if it is something completely wrong.
A vegan cake? Don’t think so.

Her birthday is a celebration for her to enjoy. The loophole that I fail to comprehend is as to what her definitions are of being vegan? Whatever it may be, if the other party is being thankful and then politely refusing the gesture, there is no harm to get offended by it as long as her reasons are genuine, which in this case is.

Often times we fail to comprehend the intentions from both sides due to which misunderstandings arise. At the end of the day, our free will to our opinions gives us the leverage to own up to our life choices and stick to them, right? I may have a completely different perspective than you, our reader. There is nothing wrong with that!
