Employee Shuts Down Internet For The Entire Company After Boss Demands He Do It For Only The Employees

employees-featured

IT professionals have a difficult job.

Not only do they have to deal with problems from their higher-ups, like how a computer isn’t turning on when it isn’t even plugged in properly, but they also have to explain simple things that anyone working in the business should know. As a result, it is not surprising that many people are unaware of privacy, browser history, and cookies. People believe that deleting the browser history is the end of the process. However, that is not how the internet works. Not to mention that many people do not understand computer viruses and will click on anything on their screen, no matter how suspicious it appears.

There are those who have no shame and believe it is perfectly acceptable to visit inappropriate websites while at work. I’m not sure what to make of this. I’m not going to pass judgement on what you want to look at, but why do it at work? This is also somewhat related to the story. I’m sure we’ve all had those moments when your parents tell you that you can’t use the internet until you finish your homework, oblivious to the fact that you need the internet for your homework. This is somewhat similar to what is going on in this story.

The story really is as simple as the title says.

However, we need to understand a bit more before we can get into it.

OP liked the job enough and it was easy money according to him.

It was a small company and everyone knew each other.

The three owners were basically slackers and didn’t do anything while at work.

The CEO had no shame and filled his computer with viruses every day.

Things were going well enough until one of the bosses came in quite pissed off.

It was the pot calling the kettle black but she clearly thought she was right.

He basically did what was asked and omitted some things along the way.

May had to swallow her pride and let the internet back up.

How ironic.

There was apparently quite a lot of drama there.

I don’t even know how to process this.

To be honest, I applaud the OP for doing this. I’m no expert, but from what I’ve seen, it’s quite simple to prevent certain people from using the internet, but the higher-ups clearly didn’t need to know that. I’m sure they had no idea this would affect them as well. After all, it’s fine if someone is inconvenienced, but it shouldn’t be them. And I have no idea what was going on with the CEO. He truly believed he had any ground to stand on while watching this sort of stuff on a work computer. Did he believe he was being discrete? This kind of thing always amazes me.

That would have been quite funny.

This really is a stupid way to remember your password.

And we end it with a pun.
