Our mental health is right at the top of everything. What is the point of working a million-dollar job at one of the most prestigious companies in the world when you are not okay in the head? Feeling good about yourself should always be your top priority, the rest comes after.
In today’s story, we touch upon a similar stream as a Redditor shared an experience about his id*oticy. OP shared that he had recently hired a new employee and she only came on board after OP approved her non-refundable vacation that she had already paid $2,500 for. OP assured the newly hired, Lacey, that she would be accommodated so she came on board. However, the reality was the exact opposite. OP failed to accommodate Lacey at all and when he informed her about this, Lacey didn’t waste a second to quit the job.
OP ended up getting a lot of pressure from his bosses because Lacey quit too fast. Even his fiance called him an AH for what he did. The matter was taken by OP to the infamous subreddit “Am I The A$$hole?” to know if what he did was right or not.

1. It is kind of a terrible move, to be honest, but let’s judge only after we have read the whole thing.
2. When Lacey got hired she informed OP right at the beginning about her non-refundable vacation plans that she could not miss.
3. OP informed her she had been scheduled and surely Lacey felt stress-free after that.
4. But in reality, OP was unable to accommodate Lacey at all. He was unable to schedule her for the vacation.
5. Because OP was already informed this was a non-refundable vacation, Lacey quit the job.
Day jobs come and go, vacations don’t. Surely she had booked it for mental freedom. I am so happy Lacey quit the job. And this just goes on to show OP is so incompetent. Lacey had informed OP about her vacation way in advance and still, she wasn’t accommodated. She will find a better job again but the bliss of a nice vacation doesn’t come too often.
