Manager Fires Employee For Throwing Away A Drink, She Returned Because The Manager Didn’t Have The Power To Fire Her

Buy New Or Go Home

Reddit user u/HuffPuff92 shared that one time while cleaning up the drinks from the day shift, they found a half-filled can of Monster that they took to their manager to ask if it belonged to him. The manager was busy on his phone so he didn’t pay much attention to the can OP was holding and said it didn’t belong to him. After asking a few more people at the bar, OP threw the can away. Just 45 minutes later, the manager came running at OP and started yelling at them for throwing the can away. The manager demanded either OP buy a replacement or leave.

OP happily grabbed their stuff and left. On their way out, the manager fired them. Turns out, the manager had no power to fire OP as communicated to them by the general manager. The GM instructed OP to return back to work. The next night OP showed up at work and the manager couldn’t believe his eyes.

It was a half-filled can of Monster. What is the big deal about it? Robert was the first person OP approached to enquire about the can but he was too busy s*xting at that time and ignored what he was being asked. He cannot blame OP now.

Also, does Robert realize that by making OP leave, by even firing them, he will be the only person left on the floor to carry out all the remaining tasks till closure? He is going to regret this.

13. Grides don’t hurt anyone. Robert had the grudge within him, he could develop as much hate as he could and it wouldn’t have done anything to OP.
