There are not many in this world who can say they have perfect knowledge of meat. And by that, the least I can say here for example is knowing which cut should be used to cook what type of a meal. For instance, whoever here knows steaks would know that a round cut from the rear leg of the cow is the absolute worst cut of meat to cook a steak. Whereas, using cuts like the ribeye or tenderloin is what brings out the most in a steak. So, if you have good knowledge of meat, you are in the good but if you don’t, then it is better to stay away from the topic and enjoy what is given to you.
In today’s story, we touch upon a similar as shared by Reddit user u/Complex_Ad5616. OP shared that for his housewarming party, he decided to cook tacos based on his grandfather’s recipe. To honor the recipe, the meat cuts he used were beef tongue and cheeks. The party went great and everyone loved the tacos. However, when one guest insisted on getting the recipe, OP shared with her what he had added to the tacos in terms of the meat. The guest started screaming and created a drama around OP adding in his tacos that she feeds to her dog; regarding the meat as peasant and dog food.
No one else at the housewarming party complained and said the woman was being ridiculous. Everyone at the party said the tacos were extremely delicious.

1. No one would ask such a straightforward question if there wasn’t more to the story. So let’s jump in.
2. For his housewarming party, OP decided to make tacos, so he went to a butcher to buy some cheap meat.
3. OP managed to get his hands on some delicious beef tongue and cheeks. Something ideal for his recipe to work out perfectly. Resulting in delicious tacos.
4. OP got the meat and began preparing tacos for the housewarming party.
5. The party went great and everyone loved the tacos. OP’s wife’s brother’s girlfriend even asked for the recipe from OP.
6. He refused to give the recipe because he did give it to someone in the past and they didn’t follow it properly, resulting in terrible tacos.
7. When OP’s wife insisted, he decided to give the recipe and suddenly that girlfriend started having something close to a panic attack upon hearing the tacos contained beef tongue and cheeks as meat.
Okay, now this woman is being ridiculous. Just because she feeds beef tongue and cheeks to her dog doesn’t mean it can be classified as dog food. This just goes on to show this woman has no idea about tacos and what goes in the best of them. The parts OP used are the most tender when they are cooked properly.

8. She told everyone OP is using the meats she gives to her dog. No one complained about it. Instead, they all appreciated the meal and called the woman ridiculous.
9. Because she found no success at the party, the woman decided to slam OP on Facebook.
10. Although OP did the best he could’ve done, he still felt guilty for how that woman reacted. This made him turn to the AITA community to know if using beef tongue and cheeks in his tacos made him wrong or not.
