Husband’s Friend Fed The Wife’s Cat Garlic Bread, Got His Entire Meal Thrown Out

A cat’s diet plays a crucial role in maintaining their health and well-being. It is essential to refrain from feeding them human food, as many items in our diets can be harmful to feline companions. Cats have specific nutritional requirements that differ from those of humans, and feeding them inappropriate foods may lead to digestive issues, obesity, or nutrient deficiencies. One substance particularly toxic to cats is garlic. Despite its culinary popularity, garlic contains compounds that can cause damage to a cat’s red blood cells, leading to a condition called hemolytic anemia.

As a cat owner, you are well informed about such things and if you tell someone to not feed any of the above to your cat, you must respect what they say and refrain from doing any such thing. In today’s story, we see a cat owner getting triggered as she sees a person trying to feed her cat garlic like it is nothing. Reddit user u/Celia_Kitties shared that her husband loves his best friend Steve and he is over at their house quite frequently. OP doesn’t like him as much though because he always tried to feed her cat human food despite her telling him not to do so. One time as OP returned home, she noticed Steve was about to feed her cat garlic bread, basically a poison for cats, which triggered OP as she went off at him.

Steve got angry and left the house thinking the garlic bread wasn’t going to anything but it was only OP who knew how terribly it could’ve affected the cat.

Is this for real? Steve literally called OP the b-word and her husband sat there quietly? My guy didn’t say a thing. Is he g*y? Because I cannot fathom any other logic for this terrible behavior. OP’s husband is a major red flag and she really needs to see it.

Now coming to the main incident. Steve was about to feed the cat garlic bread which contains garlic. Anyone reading this who knows cats just enough would know that garlic is like poison for cats. Had the cat eaten that piece of bread, either it would have passed or would have generated a heavy vet bill, that is for sure. So, whatever Steve was trying to do there was an ill-informed activity that would’ve endangered the cat’s life.
