1. Don’t cry because you totally asked for it.
2. This is a tale from the time OP was an IT manager for a large company that paid him very well which was justified given his 25-year-long experience.
3. However, things eventually took a downturn when a new boss got hired who would fire workers for fun to appoint his friends in their places.
4. OP knew the future of the company was in the wrong hands so he started looking for new jobs. And it happened. The new boss decided to get rid of OP to replace him with a friend.
5. The new boss tried to come up with an excuse to lay him off but OP knew exactly what was cooking.
6. The boss finally revealed there was no project for him to work on and laid him off. Luckily, OP had already received an offer from one of the jobs he applied for.
7. OP knew the Company wouldn’t be able to handle the workload without him and things would immediately go south.

They really don’t think, do they? Oh, my bad. You require a brain to think and bad bosses were;t born with that organ. Seriously, if we readers can tell OP was a big asset to the Company and that things would take a big hit if he ever left. I would double the pay of such a talented and knowledgeable employee. But no, this bad boss wants to have fun with his buddies.
