I think the decision is very simple here. OP should either ignore the request entirely. Also, I won’t blame him if he didn’t know where that freaking code was because man, 20 years is a long time. Secondly, there is a way OP could play around with this request. He could ask his boss to hire him at for an outrageous hourly rate and then tell him where the code is. But then again, does OP even know where it is?
