Have you ever wondered what would happen if you dated your coworker and your boss didn’t know about it? Well, one Reddit user, u/This-Preference-7085 found out the hard way when her new assistant manager made some nasty comments about her boyfriend.
OPs shared that she and her boyfriend Drew had been dating for over a year. Both work at a fast food joint, and their relationship is not against the company policy. However, their new assistant manager Chrissy, who had just transferred from another branch, did not know about it and assumed that Drew had paid someone for s*x when she saw a band-aid on his neck covering a hickey.
She then proceeded to insult him in front of OP, who then told her that Drew was her boyfriend and reported her to HR for her discriminatory remarks. Chrissy got an investigation opened up and might lose her job because of it. The story was shared on the subreddit “Am I The A$$hole?” where OP asked if she was the a$$hole for what happened. 4. At first OP found the commentary funny but when Chrissy began ranting about how Drew must have paid someone to have s*x with him, OP’s mood started to change.
5. As she kept on tapping into Drew’s insecurities, OP finally told Chrissy she was in a relationship with Drew.
Who hired Chrissy? I seriously want to me meet that person. I mean, seriously, who treats an employee like that. There was so much insensitivity regarding the way he looked. And she even went on to judge his character by assuming he only gets girls by paying them. Pathetic. Chrissy needs to be fired at once.

6. Completely ignoring what she just said, Chrissy decided to report OP and Drew to HR however she ended up having an investigation opened on herself for discriminatory behavior.
7. Many big position holders believe OP should’ve interrupted Chrissy before she said all those things to Drew. This made her knock on the doors of the AITA community.
