Person Gives Coworkers Ride To Train Station At 2 A.M After Shift Except One He Didn’t Like

We all know how hard it is to get around without a car, especially at night when public transit is unreliable or unsafe. That’s why some people are kind enough to offer rides to their co-workers who don’t have their own vehicles. But what if one of your co-workers is a j*rk who doesn’t appreciate your generosity and makes your life miserable at work? Would you still give them a lift, or would you leave them behind? That’s the question faced by this person, who has a weekend job at a warehouse where most people can’t afford cars. They drive a truck that can seat five people, and they offer to drive their co-workers to the train station, which is on their way to their second job and house. However, there is one co-worker that they don’t like, who is lazy and entitled, and never thanks them or says please for the rides. They decide to exclude this co-worker from their offer and tell them to find their own way home. The co-worker gets upset and argues that the area is dangerous and that the person is petty. The person stands their ground and says that it’s their truck and they can choose who to let in.

1. Let’s find out.

2. OP works at a warehouse where most people rely on public transit.

3. Most of them use a train and because the station is on OP’s way to their second job, they offered their coworkers a ride to the train station.

4. When the shift ends, OP drives their coworkers to the train station, as many as his truck can comfortably fill.

5. OP loves driving his coworkers to the train station but there is one woman that he specifically doesn’t care much about.

6. She gives OP vibes of being entitled to a free ride.

7. As OP was waiting for everyone to settle in his car, the same woman came and requested if they could drop her as well.

8. OP told her he won’t give her rides anymore. She argued it is too late for her to walk to the station all alone.

Honestly speaking, the woman has a point. Her being a terrible employee shouldn’t concern OP in this situation. He is simply dropping his coworkers to a train station at 2 in the morning because he feels they shouldn’t be walking 5 miles after a tough shift, that too so tet night.

So, why be different in the case of the woman? I would declare OP an AH for this.

9. OP used an aggressive to tell her off, letting her know she has no chance anymore.

Here’s what the internet had to say about this:

10. Sure OP can pick whoever he wants to drop at the train station but the use of an aggressive tone to tell the woman “no” wasn’t required.

13. Knowing you can drive her and still letting a lady walk five miles to reach her destination is no manners.
