Imagine having to do everything that your spouse does after the roll switch as she takes on your duty of working a full-time job and you take on the duty of looking after the house and the children. How well do you think you would manage? Would you be able to keep the house clean, cook the meals, and take care of the kids? Or would you struggle and make a mess of things?
Well, in today’s story, that is exactly the situation that got put to the test.
Reddit user u/Unusual_Tooth_753 shared that her sister-in-law is a lion when it comes to managing her life. She would always keep her house clean, make sure the kids were never late to school, and they were always well fed, and while doing all this, she managed to maintain herself as well. OP’s brother, SIL’s husband, works a full-time job, so that is how they have divided the responsibilities.
However, when OP’s brother lost his job, SIL decided she would start working a full-time job and her husband would take on her role of taking care of the house chores and the kids. That didn’t work out so well for the husband, as he would always keep the house messy, and the kids would often reach school late, at times without any lunches packed.
OP went off on her brother for not being able to do even the basics of what his wife was doing. She also told him she may even divorce him after realizing he is of no importance in her life and that she can manage it all on her own.

1. It pinches the most when you get confronted for not honoring your responsibilities, that is for sure.

That is just clumsiness on another level. Knowing how big of a pro Rachel is at taking on tasks and executing them perfectly, I have a feeling once she realizes her true worth, she may decide she doesn’t require a husband for things to work out for her. She may divorce OP’s brother.
