Young Woman Gets Kicked Out Of A “No Pets Allowed” Wedding For Bringing Her Service Dog

Service Dog

Service dogs are essential.

Individuals with disabilities rely heavily on service dogs to ensure their safety and well-being. These highly trained animals offer invaluable assistance and support to their handlers in various capacities. Service dogs are invaluable companions who help the visually impaired and detect seizures, improving their owners’ quality of life. They are trained to perform specific tasks that allow their handlers to navigate daily activities more independently and confidently.

Furthermore, service dogs go through extensive training to ensure that they can respond effectively to a variety of situations and provide assistance when needed. This is why people are permitted to bring their service dogs into areas where pets are not typically permitted. After all, your health is more important than everything else. However, before arguing about the issue, make sure a service dog is allowed. The issue in today’s story also concerns service dogs. OP has a service dog for a variety of reasons, and she planned to take it to a friend’s wedding. At least that was the plan until the friend declined the request.

Not everyone is okay with every breed when it comes to dogs, and some people find Dobermans or pit bulls scary.

OP has a service dog, and she needs Angel to help her with pancreatic attacks.

Her cousin Chloe, whose wedding is coming, is apparently obsessed with eating healthy and also asked OP not to bring her service dog.

The surprising fact was that OP was also the one who made the slideshow for the wedding, but the cousin was adamant about it.

Chloe had reassured OP that there were going to be sugary drinks to accommodate her, but that wasn’t the case when OP actually saw the menu.

So OP decided to bring her service dog, Angel, anyway, and data to the back so that nobody could see the doggo.

However, when Chloe and her husband arrived, they were less than happy to see the dog at their wedding, and drama inevitably ensued.

Chloe was unsurprisingly very angry, and she started screaming at OP for bringing her service dog with her when Chloe had denied the request beforehand.

Chloe was quick to kick out OP and even messaged her later to ask her for remuneration since OP ruined the wedding.

OP obviously feels horrible about making the kids cry but isn’t sure whether she was in the wrong for bringing her service dog with her.

OP also added an update explaining why she needed her dog to be there since so many people were adamant that she could spend one day without him.

I may be going against the grain, but I believe everyone is in the wrong here. The OP could have handled the situation better, but neither did her friend. Honestly, OP should have warned the friend that if they weren’t going to provide anything for OP, she would bring her service dog.

However, I believe the friend’s comment about being healthy was not only stupid but also extremely ignorant. I’m not sure if they’ll be able to put this behind them and continue their relationship as usual.

People in the comments had varying opinions on the whole matter.

Some people were adamantly against how OP’s handled the situation.

However, there were also people who thought that everyone was in the wrong when it came to this particular situation.

There were also people who wanted to know more information about why OP absolutely needed her service dog to be there.

Chloe had made it clear that she didn’t want the dog at the wedding, so OP should have told her.

Some people even said that OP could have spent one day without a dog and not kicked up a fuss.

It seems like nobody could agree in the comments.

It would have been better if OP had just bought in her own treats and snacks that she needed to make herself feel better.

I agree with this commenter, but sometimes candy will give you the sugar instantly, so I can see why the OP would prefer them in an emergency.
