Parents should be well aware of what their children are doing, where they are, and how their day is going. The information gets a little difficult to gather when they are in schools because at times children don’t tell honestly about what happened in their day, and schools only conduct meetings once or twice a year to discuss the student’s academic performance only…the social affairs are still not discussed.
However, this school where Reddit user u/neatgeek83’s daughter studied started a new initiative known as WATCH D.O.G.S which encouraged fathers to volunteer one day every year at their kid’s school. That way they can spend the day with their kid and his/her classmates to know exactly how things are, what has been happening, and how your kid feels in school.
OP spent a day in his daughter’s kindergarten class and make some key observations throughout the day. He decided to share his top 10 observations that we are going to be enjoying today.

3. The idea is to have fathers bond with their children as well as to portray males as positive role models for all students.

5. Things began with a routine fire drill and a lockdown drill that the school has quite frequently.

6. I hope the kids had fun though…and the dads enjoyed too.

7. I am sure the mommies will fulfill the Vegas trip requests.

Wow, he really is spreading great wisdom among kindergarten children by teaching them the correct names of the shapes on playing cards and making them request their parents to go to Vegas for spring break. Odds on these same students being the world’s most successful gamblers in 20 years? I am willing to bet on it.
So far it seems like OP is having a nice day and he has ample more to go. So let’s read through the rest of his day. Scroll down below to continue!
8. OP then had lunch at a time he barely finishes his coffee…safe to say it was tough to down it.

9. OP then let the boys know about the great they will have watching Star Wars movies…and some key advice before they do start watching them.

10. As expected, all the harmony was observed in the girls and none of it in the boys.

11. It seems like the demons sleeping within kids wake up during recess. OP’s demon was going to wake up too but he controlled it.

12. An incident regarding kindergarten students picking up trash from the playground and eating it also took place. That is new.
Do you guys remember that meme in which a student says that nothing happens in school all year long as I don’t take off and just when I take a single day off, Miley Cyrus comes for a concert, the school gives away free money, and no teacher comes to school? This observation felt just like that.

13. OP engaged excitedly in PE and stayed away from Yoga.

14. And the last observation was that teachers at the school were really good at playing the character of teachers.

15. Sounds like a productive day to me.
