In this story, a worried person asks the online community for help as he struggles with the difficult choice of whether to visit his step-sister with special needs. OP is 15 years old and his step-sister is a couple of years older than him and she happened to be really disabled. She is non-verbal and according to OP she breaks her bone often she has a series of epilepsy and she will have many fitting episodes. It is also difficult to make her understand.

Sometimes OP gets annoyed when he has to sacrifice his free time when he is supposed to have fun with their friends but has to take care of her step-sister when his parents ask him to. So what happened a few days ago was she had a seizure for 8 minutes and was taken to the hospital and doctors admitted her in to look after her. And OP doesn’t want to go and visit her because her mother passed away in the hospital and OP was young and witnessed it. So OP from that day kinda hates hospitals because he couldn’t stand the memory of her mother dying.

But now his parents are pissed at him they think OP is super cold toward them but they are not understanding the fact that OP has a trauma of her mother dying and whenever he visits the hospital he remembers her mother and it affects him. OP just wants to know if he’s an A-hole for not going to the hospital.
