Weddings are supposed to be a happy occasion, but sometimes they can also bring out the worst in people. That’s what happened in the story we have got for you guys today.
Reddit user u/Recent_Exit1536 shared he got his sister a wedding gift that she wanted for a very long time but ended up returning it before the wedding and gave her money instead. The reason shared was that his sister kept mistreating his girlfriend, Naomi.
OP let things slide the first time they happened as Sarah (OP’s sister) wanted Naomi to be her bridesmaid at her engagement party but the party took place and Naomi had no idea when it all happened. The same ignorance took place at her Bachelorette party and then a week before the wedding.
OP had had enough and decided to return his sister’s wedding gift that he had got for her. When the sister realized she was not getting the gift she had her eye on, she got really angry and called OP an AH.

10. Three strikes and you are out. OP decided to return the gift he had got for his sister’s wedding and decided to give money instead of it. She really wanted that gift.
11. Some days after the wedding Sarah, who knew what she was going to get from OP, contacted him to know where that “specific” gift was.
12. OP got called an AH for doing what he did as he took the matter to the AITA community.
NTA! He waited on it very patiently. He believed his sister would refrain but she didn’t. She kept on ruining it for Naomi and you can only take so much. Naomi still didn’t say anything but what kind of a boyfriend OP would’ve been had he not taken any action?
OP shouldn’t have given his sister the money either. She didn’t deserve anything for what she did.
