Coworker Ruins Redditors Book, Asks If They’re Wrong For Wanting To Them To Replace It

As we grow older, we usually don’t face bullying as much as we did in our childhood. When we were kids, we had little control over our surroundings, making it hard to escape har*ssment from peers. Although some children change schools due to bullying, it’s not very common. However, as adults, we have more freedom. If we face bullying, we can simply walk away.

But bullying doesn’t always stop when we enter the workplace, leading to a hostile environment. Recently, a woman shared a viral story about a male coworker who threw her book into a bucket of mop water. While reporting such incidents to HR might seem like the obvious solution, she faced resistance from her small team, who discouraged her from taking action.

I don’t think this should ever have been an AITA story because it is so clear that OP isn’t an AH here. That guy destroyed her property. She has all the right to report that guy and all those coworkers as well who asked her to drop the scene. If OP drops the scene, it will only encourage the old guy to bully more people.

8. Don’t let him walk all over you, OP. Stay tough.

9. He is bound to do something similar in the future so OP has a chance to document it if an incident does take place.

14. If a person makes you feel uncomfortable, that too comes under the ambit of har*ssment.
