Guy Asks If He’s Wrong For Wearing A Wedding Dress At His Friend’s Wedding

Regardless of the number of weddings you’ve been to, sometimes there are some twists that one can’t ever prepare for. DanWantsDeath, passionate cosplayer and fellow Reddit user, learned this the hard way at a close friend’s wedding. In his Reddit AITA post, he mentions that his friend and her now husband invited everyone to an “engagement party,” only to reveal that it was their wedding during the event. The issue? It was a costume party, and Dan was in a wedding dress. Read the whole story down below:

#11) She apologized and then OP apologized back.

#12) OP found out that his friend’s husband lied to her about what had happened.

#13) OP’s friend asked people who were present about what happened and they spoke in favor of OP.

#14) OP’s friend and her fiancé fought and apparently it was because the fiancé always hated OP.

#15) OP’s friend is staying somewhere else till she can discuss it with her husband.

#16) Another edit reveals OP showed her this post and she might be ready to talk to her husband soon.

Weddings, of course, symbolize change, and often people find it very difficult to adapt to it. It’s the beginning of a new chapter and sometimes newlyweds are reluctant to take a step forward. You could definitely reason that DanWantsDeath went for an over-the-top look for the party. Still, the groom who informed everyone that the unexpected wedding would be happening, assured him that it was fine. Due to that, you can’t really blame the cis dude with a wedding dress on for a cosplay, can you?
