Girl Invites All Classmates To Her Birthday Party Except One, Drama Ensues As Other Parents Finds Out

Birthday not invited

Class fellows in school get super excited when one of them has their birthday approaching. They know a birthday party will be called, everyone will go to that classmate’s house, they would have the best time of their lives, cut the cake, eat, chill, open gifts, basically have loads of fun.

However, something very odd happened in the story we have got for you guys today. The story is about Reddit user u/juliemaeve’s daughter. She is a 9-year-old girl who goes to a small school. So small that the total student strength in her class is only 11. Addy’s, one of her classmates, birthday was coming up and she had thrown a party. Sarah, another friend of OP’s daughter, asked her if she was excited to go and shared there was a lot of fun stuff arranged at the party. Turns out OP’s daughter wasn’t given an invite to Addy’s birthday party.

OP confirmed it with Addy’s mother if she forgot to send her daughter an invite. Nope, she found her daughter wasn’t invited by will, it was not a mistake.

The news spread out among other mothers whose daughters were invited to the party and some of them reacted to it by not sending their daughters to the party anymore. Scroll down below to read how it all went down.

1. A drama revolving around a birthday party. Let’s see how this one goes.

2. A very small class size. There should be high unity among the girls.

9. She found it terrible that only one girl out of all of them was not being invited. It just didn’t make any sense.

I 100% agree with the stance Sarah’s mother is taking on this. This is no way. OP was NTA for asking Addy’s mother about the invitation because there were only 11 girls. Not inviting 1 just doesn’t sit well with me at all, it won’t sit well with anyone. Whatever she booked for the girls, she should’ve either booked it for all 11 of them or for none of them.

10. Other mothers followed as Addy’s mother texted OP that 4 girls have decided not to attend the party. She blamed OP for ruining her daughter’s birthday.

11. OP’s own mother also said she shouldn’t have texted Addy’s mother. Self-invitation is not a thing and if she didn’t want to invite her daughter, it should have been left as is.

12. It was only Sarah’s mother OP discussed this whole thing with so it probably was her who informed other moms about it.

13. Confused if she really did ruin Addy’s party or not OP knocked on the doors of the AITA community.

Here’s what the AITA community members had to say about this:

14. They were only 11. Had it been 110, it would’ve made some sense not inviting half of the class, but just one girl out of 11 is kind of out of order.

15. It was always going to have consequences. Big up the other mothers for not sending their daughters to the party.

16. It was a terrible decision. I don’t know why Addy’s mother took it but it was straight-up terrible.

17. Cruelty is that they knew OP’s daughter would find out that she is not invited. They purposefully did this.
