Man Asks His Step-Daughter To Stop Throwing Menstrual Products In The Bathroom That His Sons Use

Periods are an expected biological process.

Because many people have them, it should not be considered a taboo subject. While I am not suggesting that we discuss it at the dinner table. But if we can discuss poop, we can discuss periods. Men who do not have periods should not be so repulsed by it. It’s understandable not to want to look at a used period product; I don’t either, and I deal with periods on a regular basis. But freaking out after seeing it in the bin is ridiculous. I know a lot of teenagers don’t learn much about periods and how they work, but this should be an opportunity to teach them.

As a result, when this man asked his stepdaughter to stop throwing her period products in the same bin as his sons, she snapped. After all, she wasn’t leaving used ones out in the open. They were in the bin, which has a lid! Not only that, but she remembered to wrap them up so you wouldn’t see anything. This simply blows my mind. As you can imagine, his wife and stepdaughter were not on his side, so he turned to Reddit for advice.

From the start, we can tell that he cares for his stepdaughter.

And while he appreciates her influence on his sons, they aren’t used to it.

So when his eldest son came to him with a problem, he was onboard.

He advised her to flush them down the toilet which is a dumb idea unless you want a clogged toilet.

She was ready to snap back and told him what make her uncomfortable.

But he wasn’t willing to budge on this at all.

His wife was also not on board with how he was handling this.

It is clear that he is torn up about it but I find this whole drama hilarious.

And it seems they had the same idea as they taught the guys a valuable lesson.

I’m glad they were able to talk it out and that his sons learned something new as a result. It is not shameful to seek knowledge, but it is disgraceful to be ignorant and unwilling to learn. It wasn’t a big deal, and I’m sure he doesn’t get annoyed with his wife when she has them. So he should have taught his sons to be more respectful and not be concerned with such trivial matters. I would have rallied behind him if it had been unsanitary in any way, but it wasn’t, so he was making a mountain out of a molehill.

People in the comments were not on his side either.

It really isn’t as disgusting as they are making it out to be.

That is what they used to do in the olden times, right?

I think this would be glorious.

You can use toilet paper or the original wrap that the product comes in.

They apparently already have a bin with a lid.
