Kids wait all year long for Santa to arrive on Christmas night for him to bless them with gifts as per their behavior. Many kids maintain their behavior throughout the year just to receive good gifts from Santa Claus. Now, adults know that Santa isn’t real but kids are strong believers of the fact that he is a physical human being. So, what is that transition period that one goes through and gets to know that Santa isn’t real? Surely, way before the age of 13.

In today’s story, Reddit user u/Aitathrowaway5478 her niece at the age of 13 still believed Santa Claus was real. Her parents didn’t tell her the truth because it benefited them in terms of their daughter keeping her behavior in check in order to get better gifts. However, OP felt the niece would get treated terribly by her class fellows in middle school of any one of them got to know that she believed Santa Claus was real. So she decided to tell the girl the truth about Santa.

I actually respect OP’s thought here. Where she is coming from is actually a solid reason shared for revealing the truth. Seriously, at 13 you must be very well aware of how Christmas works and OP is right to say middle school students are ruthless when it comes to making fun of others. The niece would’ve become a joke had she shared her excitement about Santa with any of her class fellows, especially the backbenchers.

But I am curious to know how will the niece react to this new reality she suddenly got pushed into. Let’s find out. Scroll down below to continue reading.
