Guess who is competing with Urban legends now?
Ever since we were kids, we used to google urban legends that would keep us up for days. Those legends still live with us even though we are not quite afraid of them anymore. I guess that’s just a part of growing up. You get over your childhood fears. But that little horror fan in you lives on. Who doesn’t like getting creeped out by scary stories on the Internet?
If you’re running low on scary content, we’ve got you covered. Put down that Stephen King novel, we have something new for you. There is a subreddit called r/TwoSentenceHorror and we gathered some of the best for you. You’re going to want to stick around for this. If you don’t have time to go through entire novels, we have two-sentence horror stories for you! Read some of them down below:

The king of horror, Stephen King, explains that there are 3 types of horror. “The Gross-out: the sight of a severed head tumbling down a flight of stairs, it’s when the lights go out and something green and slimy splatters against your arm. The Horror: the unnatural, spiders the size of bears, the dead waking up and walking around, it’s when the lights go out and something with claws grabs you by the arm. And the last and worst one: Terror, when you come home and notice everything you own had been taken away and replaced by an exact substitute. It’s when the lights go out and you feel something behind you, you hear it, you feel its breath against your ear, but when you turn around, there’s nothing there…”

According to R.L Stine, you have to get in the reader’s minds to scare them. “There’s no formula,” he told Adweek. “I think you have to create a very close point of view. You have to be in the eyes of the narrator. Everything that happens, all the smells, all the sounds; then your reader starts to identify with that character and that’s what makes something really scary.”
