Father’s Day is supposed to be a special occasion for dads to celebrate their role in the family and receive some appreciation from their loved ones. But for one husband, it turned out to be a disappointing and hurtful day. That is exactly what happened in today’s story that we have got for you guys today.
Reddit user u/SpinkickCity shared that as Father’s Day approached, his wife told him all the plans she had set for the big day and he absolutely loved the idea. The father and their son would have what they called a “trashy photoshoot” on father’s day wearing Viper hats. However, that is all the wife did in this regard. After pitching the idea, she didn’t book the photographer, didn’t order the hats, didn’t set the time and date for the event, she did absolutely nothing. OP kept making all the arrangements until finally the confrontation happened and the wife suddenly started acting all b*tthurt. She began blaming herself for being a terrible wife…yup, she played that card.

1. Why would anyone make a person feel bad about them giving a gift? Let’s find out.
2. A family of three…cute.
3. Back in the day, this was a genuine look, to be honest.
4. As Father’s Day approached, OP’s wife told him she had arranged a photo shoot for her husband and their son which would orient around his old look.
5. OP absolutely loved the idea and was extremely excited for the big day.
6. OP’s coworker was going to be the one to do the shoot so his wife asked him to coordinate with her.
7. When OP asked about the pricing, the wife told him to discuss that with Katie as well.
8. When OP asked his wife about the arrival of the baby vipers, whether she had ordered them and she hadn’t. OP ordered those too.
This seems to be like an idea of a gift instead of an actual gift. What kind of a wife is this? She literally hasn’t done a single thing to have that photoshoot executed. She didn’t order the hats, didn’t appoint a date, didn’t appoint a time, didn’t coordinate with the photographer, nor did she set a price. Well, then what exactly is she doing to make it a gift?

9. Not even the timing was scheduled by his wife…Is this really a gift?
10. OP’s wife said she didn’t know of his work schedule that is why she didn’t set a time but OP said she was lying as the two were very familiar with each other’s schedules.
11. OP finally decided to confront his wife about the Father’s Day gift.
12. As soon as OP confronted her, the wife got b*tthurt and started playing that victim card.
13. The victimization worked as it made OP share the story with the AITA community to know if his stance was wrong or not.

14. It wasn’t a gift, it was only an idea left for OP to execute himself.
