1. Just the thought of it makes me feel so weird.
2. OP’s husband has a 6-year-old daughter, Sophie, from his relationship with his ex, Emma.
3. The husband has a 9-month-old daughter with OP and is soon to become the father of another girl in just over 5 months from the time this story was shared.

I am sorry but this is a terrible idea to call Emma on vacation. This is a family thing. John was never married to that woman. OP is his wife and she should be his priority. Perhaps the husband has no idea about this but I doubt that.
I personally would want OP to abandon the vacation if this is the way her in-laws want it executed. That would teach them a lesson.

11. Emma never honored the court-ordered hours and John would never get to spend Christmas with Sophie either, until this year.
12. OP asked the AITA community if thinking of treating Emma and her the same way was unfair made her an AH or not.
13. Oh wow, this is good news. The husband is siding with OP. He believes it would be unfair to OP if Emma came to vacation.
14. Law supersedes all. There is no need for the baby mama to be there.
15. The great-grandma had no idea about this situation which led OP to believe MIL and Emma had planned the whole thing by themselves.
