We all have that one family member who always starts arguments, doesn’t sit well with any member of the family, wants the drama to remain ignited and ensued till it possibly can, and basically enjoys the family breakaway as it happens. Take a second to think about it, we all have such a family member in our families.
The same is the case with Reddit user u/britty-bird’s family. All the relatives decided to gather up at OP’s parent’s house for a nice stay. Who doesn’t love a family get-together? OP and his wife got the biggest room in the house because his wife was halfway pregnant and his parents wanted her to be as comfortable as possible. This was not liked by OP’s sister who came to stay for one night with her boyfriend. She demanded the big room and created a major drama around it. After OP refused to give her that room, the next day she announced she was also pregnant. News took everyone by surprise. She then used her pregnancy to attack everyone by saying the family was prioritizing one pregnant woman over the other.
OP decided to share this story with the sacred community of “Am I The A$$hole?” to know if not giving his and his halfway pregnant wife’s accommodation to his pregnant sister was the right thing to do or not.

5. When she realized OP and her wife had got the big room, she flipped and started demanding it. She wanted OP to wake his pregnant wife up from sleep so they move out and she moves in. OP refused.

6. To everyone’s surprise, the very next day OP’s sister announced she was pregnant for less than a month.

This announcement fed into a new argument that she created that how the family was prioritizing one pregnant woman over the other. I am sorry but OP’s wife is 4.5 months pregnant compared to her less than 30 days. No way is the sister in any position to say that. There is no math here.
The sister should feel ashamed of herself for this. I mean, congratulations to her I hope she has a healthy baby but woman, you better start working on your ethics because if your current ethical status gets passed down to your baby, things will be very difficult for you to manage.
