A Sick Employee Resigns From Work After Insensitive Boss Tries To Stop Him From Visiting Hospital

It is a cruel world we live in.

This is a story about an employee who missed work for a couple of days because of his incurable, chronic illness and his bosses were not having it so the management called a meeting to discuss this matter. Apparently, they were seriously concerned. However, their concern was not for the wellbeing of their employee, they were actually worried about the decrease in KPIs and other performance metrics. Shocking, right? It is literally crazy how people can stoop so low and act so unfairly. This is evilness and unnecessary pressure bosses put on their employees. This whole thread was posted on r/antiwork subreddit and it gained around thirty thousand upvotes.

The story was posted by Reddit user u/yepdonewiththisshi who shared the horrible experience he had at his previous job. He explained that basically the meeting was called by the managed to talk about the leaves he has been taking for hospital visits for his chronic disease and he goes on to explain how the meeting went. Keep on scrolling down below to read the whole story in his own words…

3. This is how he resigns by taking a stand for himself. Of course, there is nothing more important than your own health and look how great that decision turned out for him.

This is literally so disturbing, I am so infuriated after reading this horrible story. How can one be so coldhearted and brutal? This is the worst workplace story I have ever read. His boss really took it too far. I can not even imagine how bad he must have felt after experiencing such cruelty. Poor guy is seriously ill and these horrible people have no empathy for his condition. They all must really be heartless, there is no other way one can do or say such things to a person who is so sick. It is true that our employers only care about the work and they have little to no care for our wellbeing. They had no care for the health of the person, they just wanted to keep exploiting him until he took his last breath. This is unbelievable, these are such toxic people. How can one tell a person suffering from a chronic disease to stop visiting the hospital at all just so they can exploit him? I am genuinely happy that he took a stand for himself. This story really messed with my head. What are your thoughts on this? Comment down below…
