Now normally it is the mother who does most of the childcare and the father goes to work early in the morning and returns home in the evening. From that point on the father takes on some duties like taking kids out to the park, playing with them, teaching them, etc. In no way is it okay for a father to escape this responsibility of parenting just because they are the breadwinner and don’t have time for family. They shouldn’t have made the babies in the first place if they cannot look after them. Mothers are not machines, they can get sick too. In such situations, fathers have to step up by allowing their wives to rest well and be the main parent.
In today’s story, Reddit user u/EyeSmall698 fell very sick one time and requested her partner to take care of their three children for the day so she can rest and get better. All h*ll broke loose for the partner as he absolutely failed as a partner and would keep annoying OP to help him handle the children. OP, with her head hurting terribly, decided to lock her room from the inside so she could get some uninterrupted sleep.
Her partner got very upset with what she did and demanded an apology. Uncertain about the whole situation, OP decided to knock on the doors of the infamous subreddit “Am I The A$$hole?” to know if what she did was right or not.

I don’t know what happens next but this was the only way. First of all, OP needs to get checked by a doctor because you don’t suddenly get sick with terrible headaches for no reason. Please, visit a doctor. And secondly, rest is key in such situations. It was their father she asked to take care of the children and he couldn’t do it. Goes on to show how responsible he is as a parent.

Apology? Mr. Partner, whoever you are, you are delusional for not being able to manage your own children and blaming your wife for not helping you. What father are you if you cannot look after your children when none of them has crossed the age of 10? I wonder how he will deal with them when they all grow up and enter their teenage years.
