Mary, a young woman now 24, has faced various challenges since her senior year in high school, marked by behavioral issues, frequent “sickness,” and a tendency to fabricate stories. The situation intensified when she suffered a concussion, leading to academic struggles and ultimately derailing her plans for higher education. Despite securing a scholarship to her dream college, financial limitations thwarted her aspirations, sparking long-lasting resentment and estrangement from her parents.
The strained relationship reached a breaking point during a recent argument when Mary’s parents, expressed concern about her lack of progress toward completing a degree. 1. OP’s daughter is now 24 and the argument happened a week ago, OP was called a tiger mom by some people because she wanted her daughter to be competitive.
2. OP said she was disgusted by everyone saying she hates her daughter moreover, she told the users that her daughter is the light of her life and even they moved to MA because she deserved better opportunities.
3. OP said she was tired of being the bad guy and she got tired of her daughter spinning the narrative to strangers
4. OP never placed her in therapy again because she lied to her childhood therapist moreover, she has aggressive behavior which includes threatening other students.
5. Mary was constantly throwing up but not in front of her parents, and OP told her that she would go to extreme illogical lengths to get what she wanted and they were called constantly into school meetings.
6. OP briefed us about her health history which neither included depression, anxiety and ADHD and she got a lot of love and affection in her childhood and she was an only child.
7. CPS invested in their home and there was no trace of abuse found moreover, the argument started when OP asked her what she was doing for school these days as she is 24 and hasn’t finished a degree listening to this she blew up on OP.
8. She was put in therapy because she started acting out after moving states
9. When Mary was a senior she passed out in the kitchen and at one point they debated getting her checked for some disorders but they decided not to because she was skilled at manipulating doctors to believe her lies even as a child

13. Mary’s academic success had gotten too low at that point and she had to drop out of her AP courses because she was too behind moreover, OP doubted that she would get any acceptances.
14. Mary managed to get a scholarship to her dream college that halved the cost and she never mentioned it before OP realized even with the financial aid they wouldn’t do the cost so she brought her to the bank for a loan but she couldn’t get it
