Woman Maliciously Complies With What Neighbor Said After She Told Their Kids To Get Off Her Tree

Put up a fence

A wise person once said, “Choose your words wisely”. He didn’t say that for no reason, he said it because the very thing you say can eat you up instantly. In other words, we like to call it “Karma”. One of having such a situation triggered by will is to comply with exactly what that person says or tells you to do. The decision action is to do what they say so ideally they shouldn’t have a problem with it, but it takes them with a sweep because they didn’t truly realize what their words truly meant. And that is how a hint of maliciousness gets incorporated into the mix Malicious compliance, we live for it.

In today’s story that is exactly what happened. Reddit user RhageofEmpires shared a story about her aunt who had new neighbors move in right next to her property. She had no fence because she never required one, previous neighbors were sensible, but this time the kids of the new neighbor would often trespass into her yard and start climbing her tree. The aunt tried telling the parents multiple times to keep their kids off her tree because she feared a lawsuit would come her way if any kid injured himself/herself while climbing the tree. Unfortunately for the neighbor, he refused to tell his kids off and told the aunt to get a fence built up if she didn’t want his kids to climb up her tree. That is when the neighbor didn’t realize what he had said.

The aunt decided to maliciously comply with the neighbor’s exact wording by cutting down the tree his kids enjoyed climbing and making a wooden fence out of it. The problem was solved and the neighbor was not happy about it.

1. Your wish is my command.

2. Seems like a bunch of careless people moved in right next to OP’s aunt’s house temporarily.

3. The bigger kid would often enter the aunt’s yard to climb a big tree that is there. She would keep telling the neighbors to keep their kids away from her yard but they won’t listen.

4. The neighbor showed resistance by telling her to put up a fence if she didn’t want people entering her yard. She maliciously complied with this and cut down the tree that the child enjoyed climbing and made a wooden fence out of it.

They really did think they would make OP’s aunt spend money out of her pocket to resolve the matter at hand, they were trying to throw her under the bus for a problem their children were creating. But OP outsmarted them in a way they did not see coming. Great job!

However, I would like to point something out. The aunt’s fear of getting a lawsuit because of the neighbor’s kid potentially injuring himself by falling from the tree was nothing but superstition. Nobody could hold the aunt accountable because what the kid was doing there was actually “trespassing”. An illegal act of entering someone’s property without the owner’s consent. That’s what the kid was doing and his falling off the tree would have been in his parents’ bucket entirely. So there was no need to worry but I am kind of glad she got worried as we got to experience some brilliant malicious compliance.

5. The neighbor couldn’t digest what the aunt did. Her stance was she simply complied with exactly what he wanted her to do.

6. The aunt already had plans to cut the tree down because of her own reasons. The fence just played right into her court. She achieved her purpose and got a nice kick out of it as well.

“This is Beethoven. He was in a New York shelter with hip dysplasia and early-stage arthritis [but that was not the end of his life and he knew. His story went viral and the internet supported so much that the shelter is now easily able to take care of him].”
