World is a strange place. You encounter many weird things in your life and many weird incidents also happen to you. But some incidents leave a lasting impact on your mind. Something that never goes away with the passing time and stays with you in the form of trauma or fear. These incidents affect you greatly and whenever you think about such happenings, it sends you in the same state that you were in when you first experienced it. One such incident happened with the horror writer Grady Hendrix. He shared a story, which he told was a real life incident, in a twitter thread that went crazy viral.
The story is not about some supernatural creature or happening but based on a real life incident. This twitter user shared a story from his childhood. He had the habit of sneak-eating in the night after his whole family would go to sleep. He would sneak out of his room to find his way into the kitchen passing through the pitch dark house without waking anyone in the home up. He would eat leftover food after sneaking into the kitchen. One night when he snuck into the kitchen to eat leftover sweet n sour pork, there was a side dish on the menu; horror.

How would you feel like if you saw a strange man eating in the middle of the night in your kitchen? Tbh, I would pass out then and there.
The story didn’t end there. He saw the man in their kitchen and hurried upstairs to his parents room to tell them about the strange incident. They didn’t believe and by the time they came to check in the kitchen, whoosh! He was gone.
But, the writer was sure as hell that he had seen a man in their kitchen and he was certainly not hallucinating. He started noting minute details in the kitchen arrangement so he would know when things are in their unusual order. And yes, he was right. There was definitely someone out there. And, one day, he actually saw someone’s eyes fixed on him through an A/C vent. Spooky, right?
Once again he failed to prove his parents that someone was there. Someone who was there, but hidden at the same time. He knew about his presence but wasn’t sure where he actually was. And this is when the story turned more freakish.
