Communication is essential in any relationship. The fact is that if you don’t talk to each other, most relationships fail. It’s critical to communicate your innermost thoughts and feelings to those closest to you, including your spouse, family, and close friends. When it comes to developing long-term and rewarding partnerships, communication is important and shouldn’t be ignored.

Well, were you ever involved in a fight because of bad communication? If so, you may have a general sense of what we’ll be discussing. We came across Reddit’s AITA thread of a woman discussing the story of her friend. Her friend along with her husband wanted to experiment with open relationships, and what happened afterward was a disaster.

Let’s have a look at the full story, grab a hot cup of coffee, and start scrolling down:

Mike, her husband, agreed because he feared losing her.

If anything is upsetting you, don’t be afraid to open up and express your thoughts. Doing so can actually do more harm than good.

Background: Both partners have known each other for a long time.

Mike didn’t think Bella is being serious but Bella came up with the idea, again!

Some people think that nothing can harm their relationship due to their good understanding but sadly, these types of decision barely ever work. And frankly, shouldn’t be proposed in the first place.

Bella suspects Mike cheated on her. Wait!! Wasn’t that a decision that was made together?

Bella felt Mike was ridiculing her.

It’s unfair of Bella to object to something that was already been discussed between the two. He clearly wasn’t lying; instead, he was only doing what had been agreed upon and discussed.

“Well, honey, I think you just reaped what you sowed, honestly”

Unfortunately, this sits very appropriately in this scenario!

My friend screamed at me because she didn’t consider me to be a close pal.

Mike is feeling awful, guilty, and puzzled after Bella screamed at him.

Well, we don’t think so.

How strange it is that people are rejecting traditional monogamous relationships. Do you know –  half of all marriages end in divorce due to so many reasons. As long as both parties share the same expectations, it’s fine to deviate from the norm.

People shared their experiences and thoughts.

Open relationships are not for everyone. More than half of the couples end up getting divorced and one should never underestimate these things. Did you ever have a similar situation? If yes, what was it? Let us know in the comment section below as we would love to hear your thoughts and opinion.
