What would you do if you had the chance to influence your parents’ will and decide who gets their inheritance? Would you be fair and generous, or would you be selfish and greedy? This is the dilemma that Reddit user u/Any-Isopod8884 faced when she convinced her parents to kick her nephew out of their will and give their share to her own children. OP shared that her nephew was raised by her parents and that she was always neglected and ignored by her parents.
OP argued that her nephew did not need her parents’ house and car and that her own children deserved them more. She also said that she had a good relationship with her nephew, who did not mind the change in the will. However, OP’s brother was furious and accused her of being petty and resentful. The parents were also unhappy with her.

I don’t think this is unfair at all. The parents raised the nephew like their own son. And also got the love of a child in return. All three of them were being treated equally, on the parents’ part. So it made sense that they split the will three ways. OP not like this is an over reaction. After all, the assets belong to the parents and they can give them away to whoever they want.

9. OP’s brother didn’t show hatred not support for the decision. He said the parents could do anything with their money.
