Daughter-In-Law Says Her Engagement Ring Was Enchanted To Teach Her Mother-In-Law A Lesson

What would you do if your future mother-in-law took your engagement ring without your consent and refused to give it back? At first, had she even asked, it would have totally confused you as to why even is she demanding it. But her taking it without consent is something that goes even off the border. That’s what happened to a woman as shared on Reddit by user u/toohottooheavy. The woman decided she must tackle the matter in a way that teaches her soon-to-be MIL not to mess with her ever again. So she decided to prank her by telling her that the ring was cursed by her Brazilian grandmother. The prank worked like a charm as the MIL placed the ring back where she took it from. The woman’s fiance scolded her for doing what she did but deep down he also knew his mother did wrong.

2. OP recently got engaged and her relationship with her soon-to-be MIL is terrible.

3. Taking off any jewelry you are wearing before such classes is a smart thing to do. However, one day doing so resulted in OP’s engagement ring going missing from the jewelry dish she normally puts it in.

4. When she asked MIL where the ring went, she said she took it to a jeweler to have it cleaned up but wouldn’t tell which one she took it to.

5. OP enquired about her rings from MIL a few days later and her response was the same.

6. That is when OP forged a plan on the spot and told her MIL that her Brazillian grandmother had cursed that engagement ring, and whoever holds it or takes it would meet a terrible fate.

7. After feeling uneasy about the situation, MIL wanted to know more details and OP kept making things up and feeding them to her.

8. The very next day, OP’s engagement ring magically returned to where it disappeared from.

This is so hilarious! The scheme worked perfectly. The fact that MIL fell for it so quickly just goes on to show her levels of intellect. The Brazillia Witch Grandmother. I kind of want to meet her. Getting married doesn’t just include your significant other in your life, both of their families get together as well. What this MIL is doing already before the marriage, I wonder how she would be behaving to OP after. But, I kind of am hopeful that OP will manage it perfectly given how she executed this scheme regarding the cursed ring.
